Affordable Root Server

I found out about 1and1.com from an associate. They offer a Root Server option starting at $50 a month, with a $99 setup fee. With the cheapest option you get a Linux box with 256MB RAM, 2GHZ Celeron and a 40GB Drive, 1 IP address and 500GB of bandwidth per month

You get root access to your server, Plesk is installed and you can host up to 100 domains. 1and1.com never touches the box, if anything goes wrong you get to deal with it

I've installed a servlet container and integrated it with Apache so I can host examples. MySQL is installed and I can create as many databases as I want.

I was paying $36 a month for my 2 domains, for an extra $14 bucks I think I get my money's worth.
